About the Role
Harriss & Covington is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead our manufacturing and production teams in High Point, NC. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across knitting, dyeing, finishing, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate brings deep textile or manufacturing experience, a data-driven mindset, and a commitment to the craftsmanship that has defined H&C for over 100 years.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations across all production departments
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize output, quality, and cost efficiency
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute operational strategy
- Manage department heads and provide coaching, development, and performance feedback Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with R&D and customer service teams to meet lead times and product specifications
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends and implement corrective action
Qualifications
- 10+ years of operations or manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience in textiles, apparel, or consumer goods manufacturing strongly preferred
- Proven track record of leading large teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in production reporting
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
