About the Role
Harriss & Covington is hiring Machine Operators to join our production team in High Point, NC. In this role you will operate and monitor hosiery knitting and finishing equipment, ensuring consistent output quality that meets the standards of the world's leading sock brands. No prior textile experience is required — we provide full training. What we're looking for is reliability, attention to detail, and a work ethic that matches our own.
Responsibilities
- Operate knitting, seaming, dyeing, or finishing equipment according to production schedules
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments to maintain quality standards
- Inspect finished product for defects and report any quality issues to a supervisor
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
- Record production counts and downtime accurately on daily shift reports
- Notify maintenance personnel of any equipment malfunctions or irregularities
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screening and physical
- Prior manufacturing or production experience is a plus but not required
Shift Information
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift positions available — indicate your preference in the application
- Overtime opportunities are available and encouraged
- Weekend and holiday coverage may be required based on production needs
- Shift differential pay available for 2nd and 3rd shift
